The Show

Leonato, the Governor of Messina receives a message That Don Pedro, Prince of Arragon, is on his way. His daughter Hero and his niece Beatrice join him to greet the Prince and his Entourage.

The entourage includes Signior Benedick of Padua, Signior Claudio of Florence as well as the Prince's Half brother Don John.

Leonato organises a masked ball at which Don Pedro proposes to Hero on Claudio's behalf and Beatrice insults Benedick.

Don John and Borachio plot to misuse the Prince, vex Claudio, undo Hero, and most likely kill Leonato in the process

Don Pedro recruits Leonato and Claudio to help him convince Benidick, that Beatrice is in love with him.

Hero, Ursula and Margaret do the same to Beatrice, convincing her that Benedick loves her.

Dogbery organises the watch.

Hero and Claudio are due to marry but because of Don John's plotting, Hero is jilted, and faints

Beatrice comforts her cousin and Bendick, swears to challenge Claudio, for love of Beatrice.

Borachio and Conrade are arrested by the Watch, for there part in the plot. Don John flees.

Will everything put to rights, Claudio marries Hero and Benedick and Beatrice announce their intention to follow suit.
