For ages 13-16
Level 2 BTEC First Diploma in Performing Arts (Performance)

A one-year course to achieve Level 2 BTEC First Diploma in Performing Arts (Performance) equivalent to 360 guided learning hours and 4 GCSE's.
The course offers the opportunity for Bitesize Youth Theatre members to combine regular weekly classes in Dance, Drama, Musical Theatre and Casting; with the annual Musical Performance and some additional classes, rehearsals and tutorials to achieve accreditation equivalent to 4 GCSE's.

The course will cover the following modules.

• A1 Performing Arts Production Process
• A2 The Performing Arts Business
• C11 Musical Theatre
• E28 Solo Musical Performance
• C7 Understanding Drama
• B3 Understanding Dance

Pupils will be required to attend the following classes:-

• Tuesday 6-8pm Dance/Drama
• Tuesday 8-9pm Casting
• Thursday 7-8pm Musical Theatre
• Saturday (Time TBA) Arts Administration (3 x 3hour sessions per term)

Pupils will also have to take part in the annual Musical Production (e.g. Oklahoma!) and keep a log, reviews, rehearsal diary and production notes as part of the assessment.

The cost of the course will be £450 per term (3 terms) payable termly in advance.
This will include the cost of all of the above classes, taking part in the annual Musical Production (e.g. Oklahoma!) and examination entrance fees.

A two-year course to achieve a BTEC First Certificate in Performing Arts equivalent to 180 guided learning hours over the two years and 2 GCSE's.
The course offers the opportunity for Adults to combine our regular weekly class in Musical Theatre with the annual Musical Performances and some additional classes, rehearsals and tutorials to achieve accreditation equivalent to 2 GCSE's.

The course will cover the following modules.

• A1 Performing Arts Production Process
• C11 Musical Theatre
• C7 Understanding Drama

Participants will be required to attend

• Adults Musical Theatre Class on Wednesday 8-10pm
• Arts Administration Saturday (Time TBA) (3 x 3hour sessions per term)

Participants will also have to take part in both annual Musical Productions (e.g. Oklahoma!) and keep a log, reviews, rehearsal diary and production notes as part of the assessment.

The cost of the course will be £300 per term (6 terms) payable termly in advance.
This will include the cost of all of the above classes and examination entrance fees.
